A PASTOR was killed in front of his congregation in church while preaching yesterday in the Komo area of Hela, police say.
Hela police commander Chief Supt Martin Lakari said Pastor Gibson Luma was killed by two men who walked in and attacked him. He said the reason for the killing and why they had to kill him in church were not known.

Lakari said relatives and the community members took the body away and were demanding justice.
He said they wanted the killers to surrender to the police.
He said both suspects were from the Komo LLG and the victim was from Hawa village in Hela.

"The community should not support such people and the activities they are doing, and should bring them forward to the police to deal with,” he said.
