“And that, if we make it part of our way of life or lifestyle, it will be successful other than just doing it occasionally on Sundays when we walk; on the week days we have yoga, kick boxing , acrobatics or other fitness classes. We must lift our life to be healthy, fit and well, and to have healthy lifestyle.

In this way, he said city residents can reap its benefits.

He has had to become the change they want to see in the city, he reiterated.

He also called on others to do the same.

Mr Parkop testified that he had seriously embraced healthy lifestyle especially Walk and Yoga for his own good, so he can continue to provide prudent and sound leadership with an active, fit, healthy and well mind.

“I have chosen to be in the right frame of mind to lead the city for change that we want to see in our city and the country,” he told thousands who participated in the WYFL.

Mr Parkop said he did this, so that the city residents can be motivated and inspired to follow his footsteps to live a high quality of life.

He admitted that it took him years to be better at it, saying they should not do it to impress him or others to gain favours.

If they are on this course, they will fail to sustain or make it become part of their lifestyle, he said.

Governor Parkop went onto saying as part of his healthy lifestyle, he regularly visits his doctor for medical checks to ensure all his organs are in good health.

In this way, he said, he is aware of his blood pressure and status of each of his organs.

He further urged the residents to do the same, emphasizing its importance of saving them money from medication and preventing diseases or detecting problems affecting their organs at earlier stage than what can be regretted later when they are in their final stages.

According to him, he started practicing Walk and Yoga in 2014 when his weight was over 95 Kilograms, but now it was reduced to 83.
